What’s your next challenge?

In this brief opinion piece, I aim to provide insight to questions and topics that a media and technology business owner may find informative. Or quite possibly, any owner or associate. In the following, I’ll speak on attracting new leads, personal work schedule, my approach to finding talent through third party platforms, and the importance of challenging yourself.

To begin, for many businesses attracting new, and well-qualified leads is always a challenge. To overcome this challenge, Endertech stays consistently focused on search marketing. We ensure our brand stays in front of relevant customers by using PPC and SEO techniques. We create highly focused campaigns with Google Ads; we generate new content for our site weekly; we build links, and we work on our online profiles, such as Clutch.

Some people are interested to know exactly how many hours I invest per week into my business. How do I do it? And, is it sustainable? But, as a business owner, I’m inclined to say that I never stop working! The fact of the matter is that I think about my business all the time. I enjoy it so much, and that is why my hours are sustainable. Now, I’m not spending 40 plus hours in the office. I spend perhaps 35 hours per week in the office, and maybe another 10–20 from home or other remote locations… just thinking or planning, researching topics that benefit my company, or simply responding to emails.

To answer the question of finding good quality partners and employees, there are multiple sources. While I don’t think every small business owner needs an official partner, we all need help if we plan to grow. At Endertech, I’ve found the help I need from a variety of sources. Employees have come to Endertech through traditional job boards and college career centers… and referrals and online searches. Freelancers, I find through UpWork. These are the sources I find more suitable to my approach but you have to find what works better in your case.

Clutch, a third party review site for technology and media firms, found that business owners have experienced no challenges in the past 12 months. However, any business owner who reports having NO challenges in the recent months must not be challenging themselves! All one has to do is set a goal, an ambitious one… and the challenges easily materialize.

It’s through ambitious challenges that can sprout better methods I’ve already discussed in this article. With a new challenge, you can refine your approach to lead generation, set new time management parameters, seek and find new talent to take on new projects. This becomes a cycle for improving your methods, and growing your business.
